The repeater is now installed at G8AJN QTH for upgrading to new logic and switching boards. Transmitter/aerial tests will continue Sun & Wed evenings about 8pm whilst the repeater control equipment is being assembled. When satisfactory it will be tested as a full option repeater. May 14th evening's 10ghz test from IV site to Tony's(G3KTU) QTH: good digital signals were received despite the tx aerial being only 8ft above ground and the rx dish was at first floor height, it is likely that the final tx location on the tower and the rx dish at G8AJN QTH will give a consistently good 10Ghz link even in poor weather. Analogue was a P5, digital was about 70% strength, 90% quality. Rain showers were present, no lift was on, so these appear to be valid readings. We have installed a 60cm dish at roof level at G8AJN and await more 10Ghz signals from IV . See REPEATER page.
